History

I started in the industry when I was just 14 years old, designing levels at home for Duke Nukem 3D and Shadow Warrior on PC. I did an internship at Lionhead Studios on Black&White. Approached by Epic Games, I made levels for the expansions of Unreal Tournament. As soon as I turned 18, I was lucky enough to get hired as a level designer by Lost Boys Games in Amsterdam, working on what ultimately turned into Killzone for the Playstation 2.

Lost Boys Games turned into Guerrilla Games and I grew alongside the company, becoming a game designer and later on a lead game designer on games like Killzone: Shadow Fall and Horizon: Zero Dawn. I helped ship Horizon: Forbidden West as both a producer and a designer. I worked for about 18 months at Ubisoft working on Watchdogs as well.

As much as I loved game development, after 20 years I needed a break. Now after a few years, I feel excited about passing on all my knowledge and expertise to a new generation of designers!
